Miquel Pons is the brand that the Pons family, after 250 years and several generations transmitting the task of caring for the vineyards and making wine, began to bottle and market. From the old farmhouse of Cal Mortargull, house name, now in the village of Granada del Penedès, where the winery is located, always in the area of Penedès and Cava designation of origin.
About our Special Guest:
Peré Pons Mercadé is from a long line of winemakers. His family has been passing on the task of caring for the vines and making wine for 250 years.
Has a PhD in Oenology from the Rovira i Virgili University and 2 Masters in Wine Production from Tarragona and Bordeaux.
For almost 10 years, he has been managing the winery’s grape harvest and emphasizes making wines that characterize Miquel Pons, such as the Cava and the Xarel-Lo.
